Meanwhile, when I was a young adult, my grandmother made a noteworthy statement. This was one of many. I remember my grandmother saying to me, “Stay in the hair and beauty industry.” Kala, it’s not going anywhere. At the time I didn’t hear the message behind the words. I thought she meant stand behind a styling chair in the salon. I knew that was not going to happen for me. The same four walls for the rest of my life, nonsense. I had no clue that I could bring on-demand services to the world. Now I know. My grandmother would be proud to know my role is Founder & CEO of GROOMSMEN.
I have a wide range of career experience. I am one of the area’s most reputable health and beauty and wellness advisers, with over twenty years of experience. First, I’ve spent most of my time in the health and beauty industry. I made a mark in New York City and Los Angeles. These are two of the world’s most recognized hubs of health and beauty and wellness. Second, I’ve seen my days of healthcare and wellness. As well, I owned and operated a franchise. Third, I dabbled in fashion, which I enjoy. Fourth, I begrudgingly did print work. Last, I worked providing on-demand barbershop and salon services. In addition, I provided volunteer services to indigent members of my community. I did this until I knew I was ready for what I was thinking. Without a shadow of doubt I pulled the trigger.
And, here I am. I look after the health and beauty and wellness of hundreds of executive-level professional men and women throughout Atlanta and its suburbs. I provide a first class service at a first class price. Similarly, as Founder & CEO of GROOMSMEN it had to be done—not just any old way, but correctly. It seemed logical to bring a service such as GROOMSMEN to the client. Why make customers come to us? Likewise, it made even more sense to build the next generation on-demand marketplace for service providers.
